​The City of Dallas Office of Environmental Quality & Sustainability hosts the North Texas Climate Symposium each spring. This annual event serves as a platform for sharing the latest research, innovations, and strategies in climate action and sustainability focusing on how these critical issues affect the Dallas community, local businesses, and overall quality of life of city residents.

While the symposium’s theme evolves each year, its core focus remains grounded in the key priorities of the Comprehensive Environmental & Climate Action Plan (CECAP).

Topics typically include:

  • Building Resilience & Energy-Efficient Buildings

  • Energy: Production, Consumption, and Renewables

  • Transportation and Sustainable Mobility

  • Zero Waste

  • Water Conservation & Stormwater Management

  • Ecosystem Protection & Restoration
